a simple yet challenging game where you tap the approaching alien invaders (various colored triangles) to prevent them from crashing into your sun. the trick is that each invader has a different tap requirement (from one to three), plus you have bomb power ups to clear the screen all at once. just one crash into your sun though and the game is over.
funny concept and fantastic graphics for this spin on the russian space program and eskimos? using a finger, swipe and throw an eskimo cosmonaut higher and higher into the stratosphere. the scenery changes as you get higher altitude and its more challenging to keep him airborne too. very fun to play and looks good too!
i cant say how awesome this is from personal experience, but, can from recommendations i am getting from friends. the fact that they reference the casio sk-1 as an inspiration is priceless, i owned one myself back in the day and used and abused it to no end. my parents loved me. the synth also has a whopping 40 other instruments, multiple octave keyboard support, effects (LFO!) and of course a sampler to annoy your friends and neighbors.
the app is actually a more simplified view of the lifestyle and design editorial then the website. something to be said for optimized user experiences here for curated content, love it! for the record, the screenshot does not do it justice... where it really sings is in landscape mode (for video play out, slideshows, article detail pages) which is even more impacting to use! congrats to josh for making it happen!
this looks to be a fantastic new pay-point service which takes advantage of great visual design/user experience and a neat little card reader accessory to enable micro payments at any location (eg. coffee shop, garage sale, vintage show, lifestyle boutique). i see loads of potential for this to take off and for independent business owners to benefit! congrats to jack dorsey and co for making this happen.
retro pixel art game of equal parts pong and tempest with a twist. use dual pong paddles and ball to clear vector obstacles and dodge moving barriers.
this is the epitome of simple. tells you in simple text and color terms which direction your headed in the big apple to get uptown, downtown, to the east side or west side. nice one again franceso.
a very elegantly illustrated clock app where the time is generated by flowers grown by cute animated avatar. fluid motion and pleasant imagery.
this talking clock app is so dope. it has some very elegant speech recognition software to announce the time, date, turning the alarm on/off and setting the alarm sound. just say 'hello kei' and it turns on. supports both english and japanese speech recognition and messaging. the graphics are retro 8bit and also very cool. bought this app on the spot!
turn your iPad into a simple and elegant twitter picture frame. designed so you can easily read tweet text even if you are watching a TV show. there are 3 different stylized graphic themes to fit you and your own personal taste (black&white which is shown, western and nature). you can also respond to tweets in the app.
